Mansa Devi Temple at Haridwar, is one of the important and most visited temples temple of northern india alongside Vaishno Devi. It is situated at the top of Bilwa Parvat in the holy city of Haridwar, Uttarakhand. It has a great religious significance as it is one of the Sidhpeeth. This ancient temple is dedicated to Ma Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti (Power). The term 'Mansa' means 'wish' and its a belief that the devi fulfills all the wishes of all the sincere devotes that come with their wishes.

How to go from Delhi to Haridwar The temple is around 0.8 km from railway and bus station. From there one can take the Vikrams or the Ricksaws. The Ricksaw would drop you to the start point of the temple. There are many shops here from where you can buy prasad, coconuts, fruits, marigold garlands and incense sticks to offer to goddess Mansa Devi.

How to reach Mansa Devi Mandir?

To reach Mansa Devi Temple there are 2 ways-


1.
By the walking route through staircase and the road.
The walking route is tiring but can be quite enjoyable if we go in a group. People can be seen chanting prayers going in groups, which fill bhakti in all the devotees of ma mansa devi. One can also hear the bhakti songs from nearby shops.


2. By Trollies- Udhankhatola.
A journey towards the temple in these
Udhankhatolas is excellent as one can see the Haridwar city while the trolley moves towards the hill i.e., Mansa Devi temple. Really a good view for photographers. One can watch Ganga river flowing while enjoying your journey. According to old traditions and beliefs, the devotees usually tie threads on a holy tree that is located in the vicinity of the temple requesting and praying the Goddess to fulfill their wishes. On the fulfillment of the wishes, the people come to untie the thread from the same tree once again.

All people going to Haridwar must visit Ma Mansa Devi temple along with a holy dip at Har Ki Pauri and Ma Chandi Devi
